We wanted to provide a brief update regarding the power outages affecting our water facilities.

Following multiple power interruptions over the past day, the main electrical line serving the water plant experienced an additional failure. Throughout the event, our operations staff worked continuously with Entergy to maintain water service and keep the plant operational.

As a precaution, backup power resources were ordered while our on-site emergency power system continued to be worked on. Entergy has identified the damaged electrical line and has emergency crews on-site completing repairs.

At this time, the water plant is operational under emergency power, and we anticipate returning to normal utility power once Entergy completes its work.

Please note: When Entergy is ready to restore normal electrical service to the water plant, there may be a brief period during the transfer from emergency power back to utility power when customers could experience a slight drop in water pressure. This is a normal part of the transition, and we expect any impact to be temporary.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while utility crews and our operators work to restore normal operations as quickly and safely as possible.
